Persimmon - Sunset Heights neighborhood, Fort Worth

I’ve gotten two Persimmon limbs in early 2022. Due to their size, they will only be for small bowls, bottle openers, and the like.

A bum knee and no exercise for a few days forced me into a lunchtime walk in January 2022. About 3/4 of a mile from home, I spotted a large persimmon limb lying on the ground at the base of the tree in an apartment building on Diaz Ave. So I obviously walked home with it on my shoulder.

A week or two after that, in early February 2022, I was picking up dinner at Tokyo Cafe in Fort Worth. In an empty parking lot at Neville and Camp Bowie was another big persimmon branch. This building is under renovation, and there’s not a persimmon tree to be found in the area, but since the former business that was there was “Trusted Psychic Readings,” I figured it was best that I grab a saw from the trunk and take what I could. This was a sign.

This all sounds very strange now that I write it out.
